Flash & Configure
Install MeshCore firmware on your device and configure it for the mwmesh network. The easiest method is the web flasher — no software installation required.

Web Flasher Easiest
Flash directly from your Chrome or Edge browser. No software to install. Just connect your device via USB, select your board, and flash. Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Supports Heltec V3, T-Beam, T-Deck, RAK WisBlock, and many more boards.

Connect Your Device
Plug your LoRa device into your computer using a USB-C cable. Make sure it's a data cable, not a charge-only cable.
Open the Web Flasher
Navigate to flasher.meshcore.io in Chrome or Edge.
Select Your Board
Choose your device from the dropdown list (e.g., "Heltec V3", "T-Beam Supreme", "RAK4631").
Select Firmware Type
Choose the firmware variant for your use case:
Companion Radio — Use with a phone app for messaging
Repeater — Autonomous relay node to extend network coverage
Room Server — Host chat rooms on the mesh
Flash the Firmware
Click "Install" and select the serial port for your device when prompted. The flashing process takes about 30-60 seconds.
Configure for mwmesh
After flashing, configure your device with our recommended settings for the MountainWest region. This ensures compatibility with other nodes on the mwmesh network.
Troubleshooting
Device Not Detected
If your device doesn't appear when connecting:
- Try a different USB cable (must be a data cable)
- Install the CP210x driver (for Heltec devices)
- Install the CH340 driver (for some LilyGo devices)
- Hold the BOOT button while plugging in the USB cable
Flash Fails or Freezes
- Close any other serial monitor applications
- Try holding BOOT, then pressing RESET while BOOT is held
- Use a different USB port (preferably USB 2.0)
- Restart your browser and try again
